Fergana Celebrates 20th Anniversary Uzbekistan is one of the few countries with multiple Challengers celebrating 20 years on the circuit. The Asian nation has two: Samarkand and Fergana. In 2019, the latter welcomed players and fans for the 20th time. Located along the Silk Road, a historically important international trade route between Asia and the Meditteranean, Fergana is fast becoming a popular stop on the ATP Challenger Tour. Emil Ruusuvuori reigned in 2019, becoming Finland's first #NextGenATP winner.
