Nickname is Kedders.
Father, Steven, grew up in Zimbabwe; mother, Denise, is a former sprinter from South Africa; sister, Kelly.
Moved to North Yorkshire from South Africa at age 3.
Began playing tennis by chance at age 10, taking lessons at a local club where his sister used to swim.
Left school at age 14 to train at the Win Tennis academy in Berkshire.
Idols growing up were Andy Murray and Marat Safin.
Trained with countryman Murray in Miami before 2012-14 seasons.
Favourite surface is clay, shot is forehand and tournament is Wimbledon.
If he wasn't a tennis player, he would be a cricket player or Formula 1 driver.
Hobbies include riding his Yamaha Rhino 4x4, listening to music and playing golf. Follows Formula 1 and loves sports cars.
Lifelong fan of Liverpool FC. Says that he is more nervous watching the team than playing tennis.

Ambassador for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
Struggled with left knee injury in 2018-20 and underwent surgeriesin November 2020, March 2021 and May 2022.
